A 5litre V8 would possibly be its limit because of surge.

It will be surge-tastic

400bhp seems a lot for a .48 housing too, would have mental backpressure.

Shittest combo ever IMO

A .48 housing won't fit on a real RS500 T4..

i take it he only means a .48,we usually associate on the cosworth engine wont physically fit as the T4 on the RS500 has a much larger diameter exhaust wheel i have tried the combination he has mentioned, basically a T3 style turbo with an RS500 compressor on and never had any results worth writing about, thats my opinion anyway

f@ck it,put it on,at least it will look good

Different to the other 99% of cars that all use the same 59/48 T3 turbine, saabs, volvo, renault, ford, buick etc....

The turbine in the RS500 is a T31 HL wheel, larger exducer, heavier trim. They never made 0.48s to fit this wheel, as it was a mainly motorsport application - 0.63s upwards... The same unit was used on the Renault 21 Europa Cup cars...

Any more questions???

..so, any 'RS500' style turbos you see with 0.48's are simply Cosworth 2wd turbos fitted with a T4 cover, backplate and comp wheel...
