i have a 1.9 cvh low comp ported head piper cam paddle clutch stage 2 hybrid and more running 205 bhp all only 2 months old it has lowering suspension 17@ and the rest of it,all still on the car as it failed the mot last week and around 4000 to play with do i buy an rst and use the stuff i have or sell up and go cosworth

please help me decide

plus what sort of money are we lookin at to sell the lump if i strip everything and sell i should have decent cossie money

 

step up to a grown ups car and break the bean can.

You'll probably get Ł2000+ if your car has some nice speced bits on it.


What did it fail on? Battery tray/chassis/X- member?

 

chasis mate i can get it welded up for 500 but i just wouldnt want it knowin it failed on that much

Remove tank, unbolt trailing arms and weld?

I did Naths car for him a couple of years ago, took about 3 hours and charged him Ł120 (got 2 excellent valets instead!)

Without seeing it obviously I can't tell you exactly if the car's scrap, but just how much corrosion can there be after 1 year?

Don't supose yopu are in the Berkshire area are you?

If you break it I could do with a drivers side door as long as the locks are not smoothed over.

 

I can vouch for Moose's work on my old S2, it was top quality and done the day before National day as I didnt realise at first they were that bad. I sold if for Ł3k the week after .....

 

It was fookin' hot as hell too! Ithink I even worked through my lunch time to get it done too.

Naths was a very clean car fairly standard too. Why not repair the chassis and then sell it on, its got to be Ł3000+

Then you'll have Ł7000 and you well into cossie teritory!

Fix it up I say, whats actually gone?, you could get a cossie but then you'll REALLY have to start spending!, if uve already spent on a new engine etc you may as well get some enjoyment out of it - better the devil you know and all that

 

suppose you got a point might just look around for a nice rs to put my engine into then
