Default A few points.

I got my first RS a couple of months ago (escort rs turbo) I'm very happy with it, except for the brakes which are fookin frightening, a not uncommon problem! they are standard.
The main thing is a horrendous shuddering through the steering wheel under heavy breaking
Having spoke to a few people about this and with a limited budget, and not knowing very much about rs modifcations, am I best to go for cosworth 2wd discs, with a bracket for the standard calipers? if so do I get ford discs or for example EBC, or what?
Pads? Whats best to use your advice and help would be appreciated.

Also I would like to give it a service, change the oil,(do i use synthetic, semi, fully ? plugs, air/oil filter.
Which bits should I use and where to get them?

Thanks alot in advance

I

Try swapping wheels around before you change your brakes, its very common on escorts for discs to warp but its not always the case.

thought that was you, couldnt remember username exactly

like i say mate, cossie setup is what i was going for, just bought a set for Ł200 all in which aint bad.

depends how good your calipers are really - you may get away with just fitting the 2wd discs and getting some brackets off www.randbmotorsport.co.uk and keeping std calipers.

otherwise get em reconned - im not sure on their condition never checked

Don't forget to upgrade to braided lines and dot 5.1 fluid too

Sounds like warped disks but i hope the wheels aren't buckled - damn roads around here, worst in Britian
