Default 1.3hcs to 1.4cvh

hi all, my brother has a 1.3 fiesta fraiscat thats in very good condition however the the engine has come to a complete hault and is absoloutley seized solid. a freind has a mk5 escort wich has the 1.4 cvh motor.we are considering putting the cvh engine into the fiesta. i would like to know what the complications are behind the swap and what parts of the wiring loom from the escort and fiesta i would need. also a list of any other parts i may need ie fuel tank etc

all coments very much appreciated cheers, Andy

Near on a straight swap if you are still running a carb, the 1.4 cvh will bolt straight in with the cvh box.

Parts you may need:

Fuel pump
radiator for 1.4 or 1.6 (???)
brakes from the 1.4
exhaust from a 1.4 or 1.6
Presuming its a mk3?? wiring loom out of a 1.4 or 1.6 fiesta, ( not xr2i ) as its a bitch trying to join looms together.

I'm sure others will add more if needed but theres a start.

first thing find out about the wiring and injection system if its conpatible with the xr2i wiring, really mate the full xr2i conversion would be more straight forward as you will need to get a tank and pump and vented bigger brakes.

I didn't know they put the 1.4 injection in a MK3 (assuming its the 1.4 SEFI). Thats going to be a fairly big job, you may aswell put a FRST lump in its the same amount of work.
