what is the xr3i box code stamped on it?
What is the gearbox code at the top of the xr3i box? ix/6 and what is the rest of the code. thanks guys

Not sure, i'm just trying to work out what the box in my rst is from and if it is an xr3i one at all. does 85 in 5th gear at 4000 rpm which is useless

Well theres 3 XR3i's mate and they will all have different codes because they all have different casings on them

im assuming the 87 bit on my case means its mk 4

87 is the casting year, should be safe to assume MK4. Look at the casing, MK3's have a mount at the front. Do you know what i mean?

2 check if its a rs box, jack it up hold a wheel, get ya mate 2 spin the other, if it spins freely its not a rst box an probs xr3i or diesel box

just bought myself an rst box.last 1 had no lsd and just wanted a genuine box to make life easy. still not sure what the last one was. gunna check the casing
