Default Are we ashamed to be driving Sierras ? ? ? ?

I've noticed that us Sierra Cosworth drivers always refer to our cars as........ cossie, cos, cosworth, is this because we don't really like being associated with the Sierra name, I know that i NEVER refer to it as the Sierra, Oh lets go out for a drive in the Sierra doesn't really sound very ,
so come on guys let's get to the bottom of this ! ! !

Sometimes i do call it the sierra when people ask what kinda car i have, just for a laugh, then i come and see them in it, and there are like What the f**k? it's pretty good like that, but i do see your point, rs turbo owners don't say escort, and my mate has an M3, he wouldn't call in the bmw or the 3 series, so it ain't just us, well i don't think so.

Deffo Cossie for me, Saph or Sierra doesn't get the emotions going like the word Cossie or Cosworth does.

Cosworth is a name that every decent petrol head young and old can associate with some of the quickest cars in the world.

Just my 2p
cheers
Si

I just say i have a 3 door cossie, people in to rs fords know what i mean!! Others always seem to think all 3 doors are RS500,s cos they have a big rear fin, then you have to explain the differences!!

I call mine a Sierra. Gets the same blank look as when I tell them it's a Merkur.

Usually, I just point and say, "The funny-looking Escort."

I do admit that does sound a little dodgy, but i can hardly slag, when i got the sapphire the girlfriend insisted on naming it, so for the last 3 years it is more commonly known as "Clarence" not surprisingly, my mates still take the ppiss 3 years later.

depends on where i am and who with, i often say saff so that it doesnt seem to be showing off but when someone is trying to big up there new punto turbo there dad brought them i say cossie or cosworth.

i also find that everyone that hears cosworth will automatically know the name even the birds
