Default oh dear - test time



pulled my s2rs on a ramp at work today to fit my turbo timer, with that done i thought id give it the once over before its test next month

BOLLOCKS!!!

2 outer cv boots, plus both inners that aint a fail anyway
o/s sill rotted
front cross member rotted
a few brake pipes
steering bushes
a wheel bearing
wheel cylinder leaking
poor parking brake effort (brake fluid from cylinder on shoes so needs new shoes)

oh, and i need a bonnet release cable



better get my skates on, rag the carpet out get the miggy out, and get welding before fucking about with the rest of the shit

anyone know which steering bushes it is that wear exactly i hear its a common problem

You're not having an awful lot of luck with the car are you

Its the bushes at the bottom of the steering column (you have to remove it to get to them).

Theres a thread with pretty pictures somewhere ill (TRY) find it for you

lol no worries, shit happens, its not gonna cost me much coz its my job

its going to a strict tester though, if there is anything that needs sorting, hell fail it and it will get done, that way i know its good

If it makes you feel better mate, mine needed the headlights alligning, then sailed through. Hope this makes you feel better lol

Just when you think you've got the most disastorous fail on your hands, someones car fails because of headlamp alignment I'm sure he is counting his blessings as we speak (type)
