the birds laptop is broke and just aint worth fixing. can anyone suggest any . i looked at ebay but i dont know about all the gigs etc?????

i looked at a couple of acers??

she only uses it to go on the internet and make up cds(needs a cd drive that will write discs)

and make and models you lot can suggest or find??

only a couple of hundred really. some one put a link up for a acer branded laptop that makes Ł175 -Ł225 on ebay and it sounded perfect i just cant remember the number. she only uses it for looking at ebay etc. and i need to get her another one cos everytime i go round there i cant look at passionford

Just be wary of what ones you buy from Ebay as I've seen brand new Dell laptops been sold for a lot more than what you can buy them from Dell directly

There was a topic about this a while ago and theres a place that sells them for students via the net that seemed reasonably priced ...might be worth hitting the search function a few times to find it.
