Default Changing S1 Gearbox Oil Seals.....is it DIY ??

Gearbox is out of my Series 1, and while its out i will be cleaning it up etc and would like to replace the old oil seals (4 i believe)

Question is, is this a DIY job ? Has anyone done it themselves and whats involved ?

Just want to get an idea before i get set on doing it and cant lol

Cheers in advance

Michael

drive shaft seals are a piss easy, just a case of poping the old ones out with a screwdriver and tapping the new ones in with a suitable sized socket (same size as the metal part of he seal), dont know on the others tho

The hardest bit about this is getting CV's out IMO. As biglee said u pry the old ones out and gently tap in the new ones. I'm not sure about 4 though???? 1 on each driveshaft output?

There is indeed, and i think you are probably right

Theres one of the selector shaft too, supposed to be quite easy to change that one.
