Lights, Electrical fault...
OK this will get you scratching your heads...
I left my car the other night, parked up.. its an Escort Cabriolet on a J plate.. MK5
Last night i got home and the front lights were on, tail lights werent..
and the stalk was in the off position. i know they did not stay on the night before.
I messed about for ages trying to figure it out, if i turn the stalk on, the rest of the lights all operate normally, but turning back off and the main front lights still remain on
Im guessing something must have shorted out, but cant see why the tail lights are running as normal and are not stuck on as well... In the end i had to unplug the leads.
Help!!

Breaking down in what way?
if the connections were bad then i would of expected to lose the lights completely,
Time to get the meter out and start pulling fuses.. or pulling my hair out.. lol

The internal connections of the fuse box break down because they are soldered together. Its a wierd fault granted, but mk5's do wierd things when the fuseboxes are playing up.
