Hi

The other day I experinced a wierd thing!
Idle at 3500rpm......... I messaured the ohm on the ICV
and it was 7 ohm and it ok if it's between 6-8ohm!!

I reconnected the connector, and the problem was over, perfect idle!!!

Today the problem came back after a long drive....
Is it a bad connection in the connector?
Or is the ICV faulty?
Is this the normal way they irritate when they are about to die?

I now run the car with the ICV disconnected as the ICV only helps at cold idle and if the engine dops too low on revs at running temp.

It's a 2wd saff running stage1 and L6 ECU

I had this same problem but my car used to idle at 4000rpm
I changed the idle valve and it was no different, and the problem would only happen when the car was upto temperature ie: fine when cold.

To cure mine i had to change my engine wiring loom.
I would try the water temp sensor first though as these can cause problems like this aswell.

Similar problem with mine, turned out to be throttle position sensor !!

both water temp sensors are pretty new!

Next time it happens I'll try and messure the ohm on the ICV.
If the signal is faulty it would be nice to know what signal there should be?

think i've read the ICV get 12v live and the ECU gives the ground signal when it needs the ICV to open?
If that is right it could be an exposed ground wire...
The only thing that destroy this theory is the fact I can't messure a 12v live at any time...not even when it's runing the way it's suppose to...
