hey peeps just got me self a mondeo 2l16v black top 52miles on clock for 350 minted car and engine


right done a zt conversion on my silver top but not to shure about this 1

do i have to get custom pistons or can i still use c20let and eagle rods


i also noticed the injectors are end fed but will the rail fit others straight in like cossie 803s or will i need some modding

any other pointers of any 1 done a black top i know power engineering done 1800 b/top with 192 bhp on std compression sound bit scarry but must be oretty strong any advice or comments welcome

Mines a blacktop, Alot stronger than a silvertop. A damn good engine in my opinion, My std engine had 14psi for over 30000 miles with no probs

 

LET pistons and Eagle rods are a no no in the blacktop, as the rods are longer so with this combination the pistons will hit the valves/head.

check out Focus Central pistons as they do forged zetec ones, that will give 8.2:1 c/r when used with eagle rods

 

an on ebay.com (US) there are loads of forged pisons and decent rods for next to nothing
