I just want to say a BIG thanks to everyone on PassionFord for the past year

It has been 1 Year to the Day that my Dad died of Cancer and i have had ALOT of support from many people on this BB.
It just goes to show that when you are down and need people they are there.


Sometimes i have been really down and all i have to do is read some of the post that people put and it cheers me up no-end

Theres a fine bunch of people on here who are only too willing to go out of there way to help each other out ..... thats what its all about

My dad died of cancer Nove last year and I know exactly how you feel,your emotions go up and down even after the year..I too have had support from people around me..Its not easy and takes a very long time...and then you learn to cope,not get over it..

Yes it amazing how many people on here will help when you have problems even the people you wouldnt expect.

No idea how you must have felt a year ago or even today but focus on the good memories you must have mate as these give everyone imortality in our hearts and minds!

Were here to help & support each other Mark on PF

My parents lost a very close neighbour to the dreader big C (sorry carn't say that word...hate it!) So its not a nice feeling.

But were not a bad lot on here are we some of them are big softy's

 

Cant believe its been a year mate ... time flies by so fast

Its been 8 years since I lost my dad and it still seems like last month or summat.

Just think of the best times mate!!!

 

losing a dad is hard and nothing can replace him,i always think about my dad every day. been 12 months in november lung cancer killed him suprising where the time has gone.

i know how you feel and many others are in the same boat ,some may just be going thorugh the early stages of fighting the illness and advice to them is to be strong for the loved ones.

 

Tiff i fully understand mate, we have also recently lost a family member due to cancer it gets easier mate, believe me, chin up pal

 

I remember when we stripped the head off your car and we were talking about it... I think you handled it like the true Gem you are.. the only thing that was good about the whole thing is you had forewarning of it and you were able to prepare your self... see u soon mate

I know how you feel,its been nearly 3 years since i lost me mum,still have bad days even now,where i get a bit depressed ans cant be bothered with much,But i tell you now mate...time does make things easier and what also happenes is that with time you tend to lose some of the hurt but you keep the good times with you for ever..

Tiff I really feel for you.I just read this thread and now I got a lump in my throat.I dont get the chance to visit this board often coz of work but there are some top people on here.My mum in law died from the same illness in january and its hard to watch my other half and her dad sometimes.I get through it by thinkin that one day we all meet up again and have a megger party up there.might sound daft but I think there must be something like that.life couldnt be that cruel could it?thinkin of you fella.

Feel for ya pal, its over 15years since i lost my dad and i still remember the pain and emptyness i felt...

my dad died of cancer 5yrs ago tomorrow(3rd)
still hurts(getting upset typing this)but tears help take the pain away.
me and my brothers and my sister are taking our mum out for a meal tomorrow.
