Default anyone ordered there zetec turbo pistons and rods from usa?

hi im starting to build a zetec turbo, i have already got the 2.0 mondeo engine and can either get 86mm or 86.5 calibra pistons (not sure which to go for 86 or 86.5)

my question is has anyone ordered there pistons and rods from the usa for there 2.0 zetec turbo build.

if so can you point me in righ direction, i.e a trusted site which you used as i want to order some pistons and steel rods for my build and noticed they are slightly cheaper over there.

i have noticed a few people have ordered there stuff from the us so can you please share the experience you had, and also a good reputable company to order off

many thanks

thanks turboboss

cool could you please tell me what pistons and rods i will need for a 2.0 zetec silvertop?

as heard blacktop rods are difrent to silvertop rods?

or what steel rods will fit in a 2.0 zetec Silvertp engine, as might be able to get some c20let pistons for the build, however needs some steel rods, just unsure which ones will fit.

as im building a 2.0 full zetec turbo. think compression is going to be 7:4:1

those cosworth i beam rods are $500 set you back Ł288 you can but just buy one steel rod over here for that money, the rods are not the problem its the pistons if you see ian howell of area six he can supply you with a set of pistons,or you will have to go down the de-comp plate route the americans like there high comp engines, when i mentioned to them that i was running 7:8:1 comp they were like "what about off boost Drivability" then i said "what about on boost power" screw drivability not Interested

Currently I have a 1.8 but looking around for a 2.0.. You are correct in thinking the pistons are Ł600 there more like Ł650 quality items though, designed for the job and not from another engine like the c20let ones!

As for the rods im unsure at the min... Dont know whether or not im changing them as there good for about 270bhp with arp rod bolts... But im still undecided on this...

same here i dont know what to do stay with cast or go steel

however i wanted around 250-260 however i would be crapping it everytime i ragged it, if i kept my cast rods

theres just no point in spending 600 quid on a set of pistons, then the rod bends or melts and thats one of the pistons srcap.
then theres another 600 quid straight away.

think its better to have steel rods then you dont have to worry about what boost ur useing and also how much you rag the engine as you will know the rods and pistons will take it.

However im useing calibra c20let pistons in my 2.0 turbo build, but does anyone know if eagle rods will be ok to use and if i will be able to get them machined to fit the calibra pistons???

seen some here

no to both the calibra pistons are press fit and the cosworth & eagle are fully floating.. on my last zvh i ran standard rods with calibra pistons and @ 19psi the engine produced 311bhp and 292fbt on top of that for drag racing in used a 70shot of nos so the standard rods can take more then 270bhp.

old nitrous setup

311bhp wow wasent you scared taking it that high incase the rods decided to leave through top of sump

so if the calibra pistons dont fit & are press fit and the cosworth & eagle

surely you can get them adapted to fit? or maybe get custom rods?

darn i bought a set of calibra pistons for 100 quid too :/

to be honest no did'nt even cross my mind in fact i broke fifth gear in my cts stage two box racing a porsche, snapped a drive shaft, killed an ap four paddle but never had any trouble with the engine which was Basically your run of the mill zvh block, get the mapping right dont use high revs which kills most engines then you should suffer any problems.
