FITTING 17's PROS AND CONS????????
Ive got a s2erst an ive got the standard 15" rims fitted at the mo, im toying with the idea of fitting maybe rs 7 spokes or rs mondeo 7 spoke soft spokes rims with a 205/40/17 tyre, thing is the car is fitted with a spax sportskit which is fairly bumpy at the mo, if i was to fit the 17s will the ride comfort be alot worse than the standard rims?? also will the rims fit straight on and will they touch the bodywork on full lock and 4 up?? cheers guys
..............p.s im not looking at changing the suspensin setup b4 any off say change to konis etc

I you keep to 35 et offset and you havnt got rear discs you should have no probs, if you have rear discs and its lowerd it will catch the rear bodywork the only way round that is a differant offfset on the rear with spacers on the front which is want im doing at the momant.
IF YOU WANT SOME MINT SEVEN SPOKES MINE ARE FOR SALE

Just change the springs, -45mm on an RST is silly
If you stay with 15's, it'll handle just perfect with a nice suspension setup, bugger wheels = more risk or upsetting handling and making it a bumpy ride
I would also adjust the top knob on each shock to see if you can make it smoother without making it handle like jelly

16in all the way on any Mk3/Mk4
Best for every reason!
Brakes big enough to stop a train would fit under 16in wheels so if your brakes dont fit, your brakes are for show
IMO of course
