Does the brown no. 9 fuel pump realy recieve a pulse signal from the ecu, or is it controlled from the ignition?

I have just fitted a new fuse box from ford and my escos will not start unless I bridge a pin from the relay to the fuse (this is exactly the same as the fault that developed with my old fuse box - due to no power to the pump)

 

The relay needs an ignition feed and the ECU gives it an earth IIRC....

 

correct it supplies an earth
