been a long haul can see the finnish line ahead

and fuel pump starts to wine

is it me or are these rs turbos jinksed

been one thing after another

any way i have a fuel pump for a mk4 xr3i mfi

are they the same as the mk4 rs turbo

Yup, its the same, i have seen in Denmark lots of part supliers having it with the exact same part number, so it must be the same by 99%

 

It depends, some of the XR's/injected Orions had a different sized fitting
with a smaller banjo on the end of the fuel pipe. You can still connect the larger RS banjo to the pump but almost invariably there will be a small air
leak, which will mean it's a bitch to start and even when you do get it going
the ingress of air into the system means that 30 mins after you turn it off
re starting is VERY difficult. With any luck you'll be OK/if the outside diameter
of your pump output is 11.75 mm you're fine if it's smaller welcome to my club.........

 

I'm quite sure the S1 and XR3i had the same pumps and the S2 a bit more powerful version.

 

I have/had the same pump in both my s2 and my mk.4 xr3i
