Default S2 boosting funny

car boosts through 10psi fine, then hits around 13 and sounds like its fluttering

got a greddy boost controller on and its set to 15psi and nothing has been touched and its just started to do it??

done service 2 weeks (oil, filter, plugs and leads)

got new silicone hoses recently so not hose collaspe

please help

not helpful i know but i recently hadmine serviced and fitted silicon hoses now my car boosts at 3psi less, 10psi donw to 7- similiar and left me very bemused as it has u by the sounds of it- car seems slower now too

Hrsturbo, plug gaps ok?

chunt69, boost hoses clamped up alright? dump valve not leaking or anything?

what gaps should they be running 15psi because the manual is for 10 as a standard car.

I don't really think it would be them though because it would still boost up fully.

Its been running spot on and done a few long trips since done bits and it just went funny yesterday.

I was thinking last night, how about an air leak in intercooler??

My turbo hasn't made any noises before and doesn't chuck out any smoke but if the bearings gone and the pressure rises against the blade would this cause the boost to not rise any further and make a fluttering noise?


Any tips on what I should do to pinpoint this problem?

Is your boost controller flashing red and cutting the boost back?

I assume you have the Profect Spec B II?



Try turning the saftey setting off and see how it goes.

yeah got that one, the safety is at 17 which is going no where near. Can it be turned off or just enter a higher number??

It doesn't flash red either

7psi on standard, mines running 10 psi and 150 odd brake...
