hello people, im thinking of buying a second hand chipped ecu for my s2 restoration project. is it safe to do so?, just thinking of ways to safe money!

i think you should give it a miss mate
ecu s have to be matched to sensors and others that it would use,if not wrong figures going in wrong comming out (BANG)

much more expensive to buy another engine

coud buy it and get it setup to your car but only if its eprom chip i think

Well ive bought few ecu s and never had any probs i would get it all checked out from a tuner once fitted just incase there is a problem....
