Default Carbs at night?

I finish my workout at 10pm, come home and have either a protein shake made with milk and milled oats or a shake and big bowl of porridge. Is it okay to eat carbs like this just before bed or is it gonna store as fat? (i'm 6'1", 14 stone and 16% body fat).

Post work out carbs dont need to be much.
Ive even heard of some people using haribo or jelly or a few squares of chocolate as PWO nutrition.

I doubt the small amount you need will make a difference fella!

What's the reason behind the 15 min wait? Is that due to the insulin spike from the carbs?

you should cut the carbs out at night IMO , as carbs mean energy and unburnt energy turns to fat , i have some cheddar cheese before i go to bed as it slowly digested and is high in glutamine content to reduce cortisol , some good info on here , http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=192466

I'm not 100% sure if I'm honest, as I haven't read up on it. Just going on the help Danny has been giving me mate as he knows quite a lot about it all.

your muscles still need nutrients, especially after a workout,by not eating after a workout your eating away your hard work youve done in the gym.the topic starter isnt on about having a 3 course meal after a workout just some simple carbs to see him to the following morning
