But technique can only get you so far without strength, many times in the video you can see he is almost beat then just pulls them back and beats them

Natural strength I guess. Weight lifting gives you no added benefit in arm wrestling at all. Not one single movement you train in the gym replicates that unnatural movement.
Everyone wants to armwrestle the big gym to display their strength and a body builder doesnt really have an advantage. You want to show your strength bench or deadlift against someone that trains.
I've been collared into it before and I will never do it again. I swear the pain in my inner arms was unbareable for days afterwards. I remember sitting in my hardly being able to drive as the ache hurt so much. I've broken bones and had a tumour removed and neither of those compare to the pain of an armwrestling session. Doesn't help that after you've beat one person the whole pub wants a go!

I would have thought shear bicep and forarm power was needed, you can see they keep there arms locked and use there back and uper body to pull the other guys arm down and you must be strong enought to resist this

all about technique. my best mate(18st) squats 360kg, bench 220kg, deads 300kg. i'd never seen him lose an armwrestle. until he took on my old man (41) and about 13st. lets just say he doesnt want a rematch. oh and dont mess with farmers.
