130KG that included a 10KG bar at 3 sets of ten reps.
for some reason only got to 110KG on incline.
but that was 5 years ago car crash and 3 years rehabilitation since.

You'll always do less on the incline I've found. More on decline too. Sorry to hear about your accident, mate, considered getting back into it?

managed a 125 kg single..bar down to touch chest and up to full lock out, opinions differ on what a complete press is, see people do half reps all the time...

Squatting and deadlifting is where its at though. Hardly see any cunt in my gym squatting or deadlifting! All interested in their t shirt muscles.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
120kg 4 sets 6 reps, squats 180kg 4 sets 6 reps, deadlift 180kg 4sets 6 reps. Thats the most so far. Training lighter and more reps lately and loving the burn, 12 reps all the way.

150Kgs for 2 or 3 reps. Can't remember now as it was so long ago and seems so unimportant tbh.
Most weeks now I do 120Kgs for between 6-7 unaided reps for a couple of sets then drop to 100Kgs to rep out for 2 sets of about 10-12 reps.
Chest & bi's used to be my favourite exercises but both have gone off the boil lately. I now love deadlifts with back. I'm still a baby with deadlifts as I have a very weak back and broke my hip badly a few years ago so am slowly trying to build that weak area up. I have done 3 20 plates a side on an olympic bar for between 8-10 reps with dead lifts recently.
Not a massive amount of weight I know but I am enjoying it and pushing myself which is what its all about imho. I'm more impressed by those that train to the max than those that throw heavy weights about with no form.

max weight not really that important,, for chest i finish on heavy flys, feel this is real isolation on pecs and just as important as max lifts..

Max weight on benching and dead's will always be the great starting convo's at proper gyms. UK & the States will always say 'How much can you bench?'
Swedan, Switz' Russia will be 'How much can you dead?'
If you can deadlift a lot of weight then your strong.

Plus the amount of folk that do not perform flies correctly is unreal. Its more like a press than a fly to most.

Trying to now mate, started 3 weeks ago and think I've got past the mental frustration and realised i have to start from fresh as only pressing 40KG reps now.
Just found it really difficult to get round the mental frustration of not lifting what I used to or any where near it.
4th week now and I did start with a bit of CV but fooked that off 2nd weeek in and bought a mountain bike lol

I disagree. Flys are a stretching/shape exercise imho and not much cop for piling on size. They are great for bringing out the serrations but not a great size builder imho.

I spose I can't really argue with that.
Though if you have no size there will never be shape. The size has to come first as thats what you make the shape out of. You can't shape something thats not there.

Your the one person on here that intrigues me Ollie. You have always been very clever with your comments and posting, not giving too much away but always leaving me with the impression your well into your training. Not a show off by any means but someone that knows who they are and what their views are. Your opinions are always very similar to mine I think.
One day I would like to meet you, I think your my Scottish doppleganger.

Cheers mate. I think we've all seen so many people who train very poorly and just say it like it is. I love training but only do it for personal satisfaction...i dont have any interest in competitions etc.

I very rarely bother with flys.
The main problem with flys is people try to lift far too much weight.

My PB is 120KG i did about 3-4 on my own starting session but how much does every 1 weigh compared to how much they bench? I weigh 72KG very strong on my chest and arms lol

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I never tried for a 1 rep max but when I used to train a few years back I used to flat bench 4 (20k) plates a side for 6 reps on an olympic bar (180k total), 4 un aided and the final 2 always required a touch to keep them going. That was after a warm up with just the bar for 30 reps, a set of 40kg x 10 reps and then 80kg x 8 reps, after the heavy set I used to like to drop to 40kg and rep to failure. Each rep very slow and in perfect form. Used to hurt like holy hell
Incline was usually about 20k less on the heavy set, same reps. Decline was the same as incline.
I was 22 had been training solid for around 2.5 years and had been training since I was 16 on and off before that. 6ft 2", 19st 13lb, 52-54" chest, 20.5" arms, 38" waist. It was by no means gained naturally . I used Test Cypionate (200mg per ml) and Deca (200mg per ml), 2ml of each twice a week. I used it for 8 weeks on 12 weeks off, injecting into front and side delts.
*Edit to add* Those days are long gone now. I have not trained for around 4 years (except the odd week now and again), Im still the same height and waist size but the shape has changed dramatically

My max was 110kg on an olimpic bar for 1 rep, I'm doing 12 reps @ 80kg, 10 @ 90kg, 4-6 @ 100kg.
I managed the 110kg after just 6 reps @ 80, 6 @ 90, then 6 @ 100.
I am really struggling to get above 100kg
To go for a max 1 rep would you just do a warm up set before attempting it? as I always try it at the end

I normally start on 60kg 10-12 quickish reps, 80kg for 10-8 reps then depending how i feel or if a fit bird is watching lol i'll pile on the weight normally 110kg 4-8 reps with some one spotting.

I "HATE" when people ask How Much can you Bench, its such an ego thing.
I normaly say about 80kg and get the reply reply wow thats not much for your size, i then say yea but thats 5 sets of 12 reps with ease lol.
But really im around 120kg for 12 Reps and i warm up with flat bench for my chest session so dont kill myself.
1 rep max is at last effort about 160kg
Im over the whole how much can you lift talk, i would much rather bang out my 12 reps with a light weight than get 3 with a heavy weight.
