Funnily enough I done bent over rows last night, bit of a bad training session as I was on my own and I have a bad lower back but I was doing 100Kgs for 10 reps so 120 is not that much on that exercise I don't think..

I find T-Bar rows harder and usually only have about 80Kgs of plates on that piece of equipment. Both good exercises though.

Im not bullshitting you, i weight 12 stone sumtimes just under sumtimes just over, on monday i done flat bench -

14 reps of 60kg (warm up)

6 reps of 100kg
7 reps of 100kg
5 reps of 100kg

and that is with my arse firm on the bench.

Then went on to incline press (dumbells) 6 - 8 reps with the 30kg bells.

Mate, I'm not doubting you but this thread has questioned alot of bullshitters so its nothing personal from anyone asking you to prove it..

I'm suffolk too and Monday is chest night for me. I go to a private gym so if you fancy a trip out you can pop along and train with me and my boy and I will verify your benches. No need to film it then unless you want me to. You can verify mine too. Ipswich area.

Nah, just crack on and film it.

I've got a young son and fitting in training is a pain at the best of times. I don't think I could add a couple of hours driving and messing about ontop of work, eating, seeing my boy and spending 1/2 an hour with the wife.

The chest is a comparatively small muscle so its generally considered good to be able to bench your own weight. A classic competition in gyms is the equaliser. You bench your own weight for reps and the highest number of reps wins. This stops the bigger, stronger lads from having an advantage in the usual power comps.

Anyway, I digress. Your weight in lbs is 168 and your benching 220lbs for reps. Thats nearly half your bodyweight (76.2Kgs) again so very very good.

100Kgs is seen as a benchmark with chest for stength, not too many people rep it at your weight. A 100Kgs bench press is a good amount of weight to be moving.

Well ill see what i can do about filming it (even if its on my shitty iphone camera) and post it up, I ordered some creatine so hopefully be able to bench more in a few weeks.

Im not one to bullshit either!

What dose HTH's mean?

Benni.

Benni, i thought you would have been in the gym enough by now to realise pressing 100kg for reps isn't something every recreational trainer can do?

Plus the fact he's put pics up before and he's built like the end of a fiver so i have reason to doubt him.

I was going to say the same thing TBH, Coldo. His old pics he looks like he'd blow over in the wind, so I was a little dubious about benching 100KG at 75KG body weight with a 120KG single lift as 100KG isn't a weight to be sniffed at by anyone at any weight IMO. But he might have significantly changed since then, but I'm sure he said he was tall as well, so not sure? I know someone I box with is 75KG and benches 100KG but he's 5'7 and a fat free, lean as fuck powerhouse fireman with pecs like bags of cement.
I know how much I was doubted when I told a couple of PT's (one who trains Gold Medal Paralympians so knows what he's talking about) I was repping 82KG at 72KG body weight but still running 1.5miles in 8:20-30 until I proved them wrong, and that's 20kg on top again, so you've got to prove the doubters wrong IMO.
If you can do it, thats some impressive lifting. One, if not the strongest bench presser on here pound for pound.

Thats exactly it. A 115khs (253lbs) press is virtually exactly 1 and a half time his bodyweight (168lbs).

For me that equates to a one lift max of 167kgs (369lbs). My max so far was 150 as if you all remember I tore my pec quite badly attemptin 160kgs and I have been training for years and years..

OK so I appreciate when your smaller you seem to be more athletic and can move more of your own bodyweight (take pull-ups for example) but its still very impressive.. It is possible but it would make Ed very strong. something he would be applauded for, I'm sure, if he proved the doubters wrong.

I would personally love to see him do it as I don't like calling people out as I'm too polite. BUT I see exactly where Coldo is coming from as there are alot of claims on this thread that so far are just that.

I know they're claims, but he could do it. I'll say I can't see it myself, as like you say, it's damn impressive! However, it is possible and you can't just go calling him a liar, as you don't know for sure he is.

Benny, he could do it mate and I'd like to believe he can. We're all doing this for ourselves and its not really about others thoughts on what you can and can't do.

But, to be hypocritical to that point, Coldo is merely calling him out in the least tactful way possible and doing it that way for one reason only. To get a reaction which is exactly what its done. Not personally my way of doing things but its worked nevertheless.

I just managed 6 reps with 45kg d/bells. Quite pleased with that, but the last one was a struggle. I find that my strength varies quite a bit week in week out. I weigh around 14 stone. As to the 100kg press, fair play of he can, cant remember his pic so I will reserve judgement on that one.

tbh, i don't think 100kg is a lot, there are plenty of lads at my gym that can do it and there not that big.

bring the bench to CD and we will see , i'm willing to put a nice bet on it too that i can lift what i said.....anyone else.

I wouldn't quite say "bum on bench" like you claimed before....! BUT! None the less, i'll give you that, impressive. Very good lifting, no doubt about it.

.... This however, since i'm the bench press police just now, i'm going to fail it. Arms never once went parallell, bar was never anywhere near touching your chest. Big weight i guess but i wouldn't say it was pressed properly (imo!)
