Default HELP...which protein shake??

hello all,

i've recently started a new fitness "regime" and have come a bit stuck on which protein shake to use??

im trying to slim down (quite a bit) aswell as build muscle

im currently using dorian yates pure protein mix which is 50g of protein with only 6g of carbs per serving. it tastes great, seems to be doing the trick but is soooo fucking expensive! £36 for 1.5kg (18 servings)

does anybody know of a similar level shake for a few less pennies? or even better, somewhere i can get it cheaper?? or just another supplement for me to use??

im very new to this...

please try not to bog me down with TOO MUCH science!!!

cheers

Cheers BRADZ they sound good... and a very small serving??? My current serving is 82g per shake to achieve the 50g protein so this one would be about 75g for the same portion size???

How many servings of 23g would you have a day?? I guess you can put a couple of servings into each shake??

What flavour do you recommend?

The idea behind shake is, it is not a meal but a replacement, where possible get you protein from Food rather than a shake.

As soon as You wake is a Must and same just before you head to bed.

The rest of Day the likes of Chicken is much better but if u cant do that yea take a shake.

I myself have a shake on waking and have Breakfast 1 hour later, the next shake i have is at 6.30pm just before i workout and i have a shake straight after workout too.

Within an hour of having my post workout (after training) shake i have a meal too.

With the true whey 2 Scoop is 19g, so if you want almost 40g of protein take 2 scoops.

Brilliant thanks mate, its starting to make it a bit more clearer now. And of course, i guess the idea is to cut as many carbs as I can without dropping my protein, hence losing fat but trying to still build muscle??

I'll get on and order it this week
