they are two completely different compounds but they do a similar job in a round about way, alot of people cant get on with clen because of bad sweats and shakes and its harsher on the system.

have a read up on these for more info

ephedrine

clenbuterol

I wont embaress you on this reply M!!!!

Ok.... Eph' make you shake and Clen's make you hot, well thats the sides! They both work well but many folk take them expecting to loose a shed load of weight, does not really happen unless you watch your diet.

I took Clens for some time, had to stop though as it started to make me so hot that I thought I was going to pass out and started getting panic attacks, nothing that a bit of Diazepam could not cure!!

Maria dont bother using anything like that despite what the easy option guys say.
Just up ya cardio workouts and sort a good way of eating rite.
Notice i not say diet thats because people are always on a diet and its too much press for most, just eat healthy as much as poss and have the odd treat it works alot better.
Slimming pills and the like belong in the bin.
Good luck and stick to it. steve

Clen/eph are not the answer Maria and aren't really doing you any favours long term. Diet is key - 80%. Exercise is the other 20% so not as crucial but still important.
Do you have piddly little snacks for lunch/dinner etc. over the fear if you have anything bigger you will put on weight? Do you snack during the day, post up a typical days diet and we'll see where you might be going wrong

Ok typical days diet:

7am - Bowl of fruit n Fibre or Frosties Ot two slices of granary toast

10.30am - Probably a sausage Roll

12.30 - This varies depending on whether im with customers or not. It can either be, a tub of sainsbury's sushi with a bounty bar to finish or just a packet of crisps and a bounty bar!

Then normally dont eat anything until about 6.30ish/7pm which can be anything from spinach and ricotta pasta to a salad, or something chickeny or hammy

Not much help i know!

I dont actually eat that much.... but by the time i get home from work at about 6.30is im knackered! and the thought of exercising really doesnt appeal.

I did consider taking up cycling as i guess that is a form of exercise and i am still sat down while doing it!

I think you'd do better if you had a more substantial lunch, like a tuna and cucumber sandwich on brown bread plus something at around 2:30 and again at 4pm, and ditch the sausage roll for something more like a bagel and suitable filling

Also maybe scrambled eggs for breakfast

You need to eat more often to keep the metabolism ticking over

If you really want to lose some fat and don't want to exercise, just do the Atkins diet for a week, that WILL shed the weight. Then go on a balanced enough diet as above and you won't put it back on. However, if you do, just have a week-2 weeks at a time on it, every now and again

I found that ephedrine only works for short periods at a time, a week or two before it stops having much effect.
Atkins works wonders though, just by eating no carbs I've lost a nearly a stone in the past 2 weeks. It's hard to stick to, but the first time I did it (about 3 years ago) I lost 3 stone in 6 months Went back to eating normally after that, and put some of the weight back on but never more than a stone, which can easily be lost again going back to Atkins for a few weeks.
Definitely recommend it if you've got the willpower!

I think the average weight loss for the Atkins diet seems to be about half a stone per week. Just limit yourself to 20g carbs per day. If you want to do it for more than a week, I'd recommend staggering it, with a gradual increase. So rather than a 20g limit for 2 weeks, I'd do it for 4 weeks 20g first week, 30g second week, 40g third week and 50g final week

Just steer clear of the obvious carb sources, so no sugar, pasta, potatoes, bread, rice, juice etc

Limit your medium carb veg to a bare minimum

eat as much lettuce, radish, peppers etc as you like

eat as much meat as you like obviously, but try and keep it as lean as possible

eggs are all good, scrambled eggs are the best breakfast, have some bacon with it too if you like

cheese

etc

ooooooooooooooh i love eggs!

I just never have time to do anything more substancial for breakfast hence why i end up having a midmorning snack!

I think im gonna try the whole fruit and veg thing throughout the day... i forgot tuna was good for you so will definitely include that.

What kind of healthy dressing can i have with a salad though as most are pretty fattening arent they?

And surely there must be some 'easyish' exercises i can do at home?

Get some of these, there's a whole range

I've got that one and an Italian one, but there's more. Virtually fat free and hardly any calories

I use them by the bottleful all the time. I cook a shitload of pasta, whack it in a big tub, chop some peppers in, chuck 5-6 cans of tuna in and a bottle of that in, mix it all up and whack it in the fridge, then that does me for snacks for a couple of days. Obviously the pasta is there 'cos I'm trying to get big. In your case, substitute the pasta for various bits of salad.

Plus sometimes I just grab a can of tuna and eat it straight out of the tin

You might feel a bit stupid, but if you want some cardio exercise without leaving the house, try skipping? You can do it in front of the TV (as long as you dont have low ceiling lights lol) and skipping ropes are cheap as chips!

Do skipping or on the spot jogging or some cardio like that as soon as you get up. Get your heart rate up and you'll steadily carry on burning calories long after you've finished

Some good advice there. As mike c says tuna is great and you could make a bowl of tuna and salad mixed to take to work and tuck in when ya av time. Porridge is also an option for brekky with skimmed milk. Also try half a grapefruit mid morning as helps break down fat in stomach. Dried fruit is also good as a sweet treat between meals.
Just seen ya photos with clive on gen discussion and it dont look like ya av probs with ya weight. good luck ya can do it.

THere's soo much sugar in the supermarket sushi Maria, plus you are having pasta at night. You could be susceptable to keeping weight on due to the carbs. Try low carb days x2 followed by a normal day. Then just repeat

Also a fave breakfast of mine now is a couple of kiwi's, grapes, banana, strawberrys and a huge dollop of natural 'normal' organic yoghurt. Not the fat free version because again it has loads of extra sugar in.

Always check the label as the fat free stuff often uses sugar to substitute taste and you are better off with the normal version - as long as it's not crazy with saturated fats.

Stevecossy - those pictures were a few years ago sio look a little heavier now!

Paul - thats a good point actually....if im eating pasta twice a day is isnt going to be too good!

I think im gonna start preparing a load of fruit the night before, so that i can just bung it all in a bowl in the morning, and the same with salad for work!

And im off to hunt for a skipping rope tomorrow!
