5w-50 is the oil that Jamsport use when doing the conversion.

Was it from ebay you bought the motor?

How much did it go for in the end if you mind me asking?

What's the thoughts on it so far or are you waiting until after a service to open it up?

As I've got a super charged st myself

i payed Ł4080 in the end for it. but have found niggly little things i need to do

but as far as performance goes its brilliant i have only used it a few times as i want to give it a good service an get it on a rolling road so i know everything is ok before i decide to show it some serious revs.
it was advertised as a jamsport2.5 kit an 280bhp but i predict that is more around the 230-240 mark
biggest problem is getting the power down now.

how do you find yours? any driving tips?
this is my first supercharged car..

Nah no real driving tips tbh, it's quite progressive the boost so it's like having a bigger N/A engine I feel, which is why it's not a bad day to day car.

I have a diff but it still spins the wheels now and again although to be fair it has been pretty wet recently. But generally I'm quite happy with it.

Also try and find out how long it's been charged although it shouldn't need new charger oil most likely but if you're doing a service of every oil on the car charger oil isn't that cheap.

Is that a cossie inlet that you're buying? Well if it's that kind of inlet I did a guide on how to fit it if that's needed. Unless it's a mountune one, although sure that can't be that different to fit.

For the oil, maybe rotrex themselves, if not, Jamsport will have. I would see if any local places have as well, would be performance places rather than motor factor type places.

Yeah it's a cossie copy, that's what I meant when I said that kind of inlet.

Also you will need a power steering relocation kit with the inlet, as the standard resi fouls that, cheapest place I've seen them:
http://www.autospecialists.co.uk/ST1...duct-1059.html

If you haven't bought it yet, buy the inlet from there as well, might manage to give you a discount, and if not would save on postage on one item at least lol.

My car if you want to have a peek for information:

You might get hit with import tax if it's from the states, although hopefully if it was through ebay it could be marked as gift or sample.

Nah you dinna want to take advice from me, I'm a fool

16 quid isn't bad at all, I thought they normally charge you 25 quid for an admin fee for looking at it, then the extra cost of the tax itself! Well I normally get stung like that!

Looking good though mate, oh and also for the inlet, get a thermal inlet gasket from ferriday, as those inlets get hot without one even when the car is moving. Just make sure you don't have an egr valve.

My charger is the larger C38 one, which one I'm not sure of though lol

yeah i was expecting alot worse to be honest from the import.
the only reason i ask about the charger is because im looking at getting a slightly smaller pulley an need to know the charger model to get price as another tuner lists the 2.5 kit as smaller pulley for 11psi

best thing to do is get the info from the seller, although maybe jamsport might manage to tell you if the kit was done there.

i just looked on the rotrex website an i said the C38 is for combustion engine applications suitable for engines ranging from 3 to more than 6 litres producing up to 630hp

i would of thought this would be better? (not a tuner so my thoughts dont really count) C30 will cover combustion engines ranging from 1 to more than 4.5 litres producing up to 400hp.
