Default New Fiesta ST Mountune inlet upgrade?

I've placed a deposit and wondered if anyone else has seen or is interested in the possible extended group buy? We only need one more deposit for a price break!

Its basically an inlet (like the cosworth inlet but designed for the 2.0L). I've seen the prototype working at brands on pf track day the Fiesta ST looked quick.

Good part is any Duratec i4 owner can have one fitted as Mountune will be selling it seperately.

More info can be found on,

http://www.mountunestore.com/Product...uy---Pre-Order

This new 2-litre i4 Duratec cast inlet has been extensively CAD / CFD designed and tested to compliment the 4-cylinder Duratec engine and will be available both as a bare inlet and also as a package to compliment existing upgrade kits found on upgraded road cars under sister division, Mountune Performance ST165 and ST185 banners.

It can also be used for a variety of other applications and unlike other inlets currently available requires no relocation of power-steering components and is a direct replacement fit for the standard inlet package.

When fitted in addition to the Mountune Performance Stage 2 / MP185 upgrade. The then labelled MP200 upgrade increases peak power to 200PS at 7000rpm with 205Nm available from 4500rpm to 6250rpm. In this form the MP200 upgrade consists of the bespoke cast inlet plenum / manifold, a larger diameter throttle body, thermal inlet gasket and a revised calibration. For exisiting MP165 customers the kit includes all the above parts minus the larger throttle body and produces 175PS - thus named MP175.

The parts supplied are from the Mountune Racing performance division – therefore will not benefit from the same warranty arrangement with Ford as Mountune Performance parts. A 12-month, 12,000 mile warranty (whichever comes first) is still provided on all the parts fitted as part of the conversion.

For non-Mountune customers wishing to improve the performance of their 2-litre i4 Duratec-powered engines, further calibration will be required to get the optimum improvements from the inlet.

As a launch offer we’re inviting customers to benefit from a ‘Group Buy’ with the various prices shown in the image above - indicating the various break points. A £100 deposit secures an inlet / MP175 / MP200 conversion which are due in stock early December - Please select the package you would like to pre-order using the drop down above - all pre-orders count towards the toal group buy total as all four options include the cast inlet.

A counter will indicate the current number of deposits placed and therefore the current price / balance to be paid. The closing date for the group buy will be 31st December 2010.

A Mountune representative will be in contact shortly after this date to collect the remaining balance for inlet only customers, and to discuss booking dates for customers wishing to upgrade to full Fiesta ST MP175 / MP200 specification.

The balance of either of the two road kits doesn't need to be paid until the kit is installed, and this deadline has now been extended until the 31st May 2011.

For reference:

The various group-buy prices can be seen by clicking on the second image above.

The Fitting kit includes mounting brackets / hardware and a thermal inlet gasket.
Its certainly not cheap but for those following the Mountune stuff will know the quality of there work and the proven gains. I've never seen anyone grumble about a Mountune'd Focus or Fiesta!

Theres a couple of vids on there facebook page if your interested also

Any thoughts?

Satch, have you come over from the STOC? There are a few people on there who are in for a group buy.
