Default Zetec help please

Anyone give me an idea on this ?

I changed the water pump the other day on Lindsay's 1400 cc zetec se engined fiesta ! Went for a drive after all ok and it was fine the day after! Day after that she was doing a slow manoeuvre and had full lock on and says she heard a slight bang and its been miss firing and cutting out since ! I thought I bet alternator belt has snapped as I struggled with tension on it but when I got home and looked it hadn't ! Can't see anything obvious and know nothing about them!!! Sounds noisier too more tappety!

Check the core plugs next to the spark plugs. Does it run alright?

Is it over heating as these have a cut off when they get too hot, the oil could just be the rocker gasket, and the bang could of bin trapped air? Does it smoke at all

It crossed my mind with the bang but the belt feels taught enough not to jump ! No timing marks ? So can't tell either !

They only have a auto tensioner on these engines and there common to jumping, and on full lock its under a load so could of jumped, there easy to check as all you need is a locking pin and a straight flat bar
