ive got a problem with my 88 xr2 which i think it is a fueling issue. it runs fine when your taking it easy but if you start to drive it a bit harder its almost like its starving its self of fuel. when i back of a bit for maybe 30 seconds or so it seems to sort itself out. i would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this. thanks blair.

 

i had the same problem with my 88 XR2 many years ago mate what i done was change the fuel filter then i took the carbs off stripped them all down/cleaned/fitted new bigger jets and new gaskets and all was great after that can all be done in a few hours hope this helps you out
