Default FRST Rocker Cover Leaking

My mate has a FRST and the rocker is leaking at the back, it turns out one of the bolts for the rocker cover wont tighten, obviously the thread is fooked
Anyone had this before? got any ideas how we can repair it?

Cheers Brian

He needs to hope that it's just the threads on the bolt that's fucked, if it is then he just need a new bolt, if it's the head then he will need to re-tap it.

all you can do is first try to re-tap the thread, if not you will need to helicoil the original bolt hole. hth

He could drill it out and fit a longer bolt with a nut just to get him by. That depends on if he can get to the underside to fit the nut.

get a bigger bolt and get a tap, or try a cladding screw, only need to nip it up

Do check the bolt first though before buying taps or attacking the head

Get a helicoil in it, it takes 5 minutes and it will be a proper job.

I'm surprised no one else is recommending he doesn't check it's not the threads on the bolt that isn't fucked before saying he should go and buy a helicoil kit
