Default Fiesta RS Turbo Beige Injectors

Im about to install my 165 superchip into my FRST Engine, i have a set of beiges and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Could i put the beiges in and just turn the fuel pressure down slightly while its on the 165 chip?

No, you need the correct injectors the chip is mapped for.

you need a 195 chip for beiges other wise it will over fuel a 165 chip is designed for blue injectors and standard fuel pressure

yes at three bar fuel pressure, but he is correct in thinking you can turn the fuel pressure down to say 2.5 bar, What cc/min are blues and what cc/min are beiges?

I disagree, even with the fuel pressure lowered you still need the correct injectors as the mapping will be totally different.

If i fit the beiges i will have them inplace with the 165/stage 1 chip for around a year before i upgrade to 195/stage2. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and would turn the pressure down (get it tested/setup professionally) so the beiges wouldnt throw so much fuel in.

I just have a brand new set of beiges and was wondering if i could use em. Save getting my blues cleaned/refurbed...?

but then you would have absolutly no advantage for fitting the injectors

Not sure i get what you mean? 100 percent equal flowing?? all injectors will flow equally in the same rail? plus if you waited until you got the chip it would take ten mins to change the injectors, its a really easy job, and it would save fucking your engine by bore washing it with a rich mixture for the next few months. It has no advantage to use higher flow rate injectors and then effectivly derate them by turning the pressure down, effectivly making them the same flow rate as the originals, it gives you no more overhead of fuel and no performace advantage.

That would lean it off, as a chip designed for bigger injectors will have a smaller pulswidth than one for smaller injectors, therefore the car will be leaner accross the board.

20yr old injectors aren't gonna flow evenly across all 4 in the same rail/car as they are all carboned up differently. The beiges i have r brand new and will fuel equally... Thought it'd make it run nicer thats all...

If theres no advantage and it might damage my beiges i won't bother, until i get the right chip for them.

Do you know if Fiesta RST Blues are the same as XR2i blues? The numbers on them are the same... Also are the fuel pumps the same?

Use the right injectors for the chip, can't say about the injectors but I should think from what you have said there the same but can't say either way, I should think the fuel pump is different.

No advantage what so ever with the beiges with the chip, the mapping is totally different as said re the pulse widths so will do more harm then good.

Not sure on the standard fuel pressure, that's assuming of course your remapped chip is written for standard fuel pressure, usually they are but some are not!

Standard fuel pressure is 3 bar
You need a 165 chip for blue injectors
and a 195 chip/Motorsport Developments custom chip for beige injectors

Do it properly once.
