ok, so it's not a turbo or a zecet s or anything sporty, just your bog standard mk 4.5 1.25, but this morning there was a whole lot of water and steam coming from under the bonnet, and when i've looked, there is a big dribble coming from the front of the engine lock
is it broken?
how broken is it?
how much will it cost to get fixed assuming it's really badly broken?
etc?
thanks

no idea where the water was coming from, but it seems to have been the thermostat housing, it's at the garage now being looked at, along with the boot lock and the rear tyres being all funny in their arches so i'll do a little write up if/when it gets back to me, hopefully tonight as i need it in the morning

Hope you get it sorted, but what you need to do when its running right is get rid of it for a mk 3 or mk5 lol, cos you don't seem to have much luck with this one...

it was the thermostat housing
but someones threaded or striped the heads from all the screws that go into the airbox and stuff, so none of them wanted to come out
eventually he's had to remove the air con pump to get to it
just waiting for the parts to arrive and it should be fixed![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
a blessing in disguise that the wife didn't have the car these past few days, i think it may have had a few more dents in it than before
