Turbo conversion ?

Ive seen a nice FRST with a blown turbo, this doesnt put me off the car as id want to replace the std T2 for a T3.
Question is whats the best conversion, a T3 or is there more options and whats involved in swapping the T2 for a bigger turbo i.e fueling etc

i knew it wouldnt be easy, people tried telling me it was a bolt off/on job..
Im after 200+ BHP, always had ERST but fancy a FRST for the change

iam in the same sitch as you, iam restoring my fiesta rs turbo which is currently at the bodyshop. my turbo let go which was why i first pulled it off the road and iam going the t3 route...
so far ive found that you will need: chip to suit t3 setup, the turbo itself (obv lol), oil feed pipe, oil return pipe, escort t3 oil plug (into the block, t2 is screw n t3 is push on) ,escort manifold, nuts,bolts,washers and gasket, all relevant hosing to plumb it in (iam going pro alloy front mount so i have no idea what i really need at the mo lol) , not sure whether you need the amal valve from an escort setup (depends on your boost control really) and plus moving the radiater about an inch forward (i think!)erm oh and a modded downpipe (can either bodge a standard rusty escort item, have something made up by an exhaust place or do what iam doing and that is get an escort downpipe from mongoose n have it matched to my existing mongoose system by some one) . i will be starting a resto thread on here once my cars abit further down the line and i will have more info on the setup by then, hope that helps for now mate
