Default put the fiesta rs back together and oil smell? UPDATE 18-2

right, as you know the fiesta rs turbo has a shit oil return to the block, so i had my return put into the sump for better draining, while the sump was off i sent the turbo unit (t2) to carl at g.b turbo solutions who gave it a checkover and freshen up - he is a regular user on here .

started the car up and all is well with no leaks , revved it up and can smell some oil from the exhaust, left it running for 20 mins and again revved it and still a blueish smoke. now the engine reads 170psi all over on a dry compression test, all breathers are brand new and stem seals have been replaced. the motor has done 6 miles in 5 years as its been in the garage! only on 46k as well!

any solutions to whats going on or does it need a hard drive?

could be some oil in the exhaust mate, but then again it sounds like it needs a good drive!

yeah it needs a fucking good drive mate

i think what matey means is back pressure, to little back pressure doesnt help so im told, but i dunno mate, i got a big bore exhaust on mine and untill i got a recon turbo (didnt need it for mine but swapped it ) it didnt make a diffeence.

now ive fitted yet another all is well, well, we will see when i get it on road but i only paid Ł30 for a good turbo so if it dont last long not much lost

just done a dry compression test, removed fuel pump fuse as well, from left to right in psi (car is bog standard)-

1. 158
2. 160
3. 160
4. 152

the tip on the spark plug is like chocolate colour and outside ring is black. only thing that concerns me is there is a little oil around the ring on spark plug 1 which reads 158 on the far left side if your standing at the front, now if a piston ring was down wouldnt it read a lot lower reading?

I would thought so..
I think the genereal rule of thumb is 10% across all 4 cylinders is the limit. So I cant see it being the piston rings.
