HELP NEEDED WITH CHANGING THE SUMP GASKET
Does anyone know the best way of fitting one cos i've had the sump off twice now.
today i spent most of the day with RSCossieGaz strippin everything off and out the way so i could get the sump on with a little more ease then last time.
well as you can tell by this post it didn't work, in fact its made it worse.
it never leaked till i took the sump off last time so i know its defo the sump
i'm gettin to the point where id rather send it to a garage to shaft me with a steep price for the dam thing.
PLEASE HELP.??

I think when you do it up your meant to tighten oposite screws (eg. Top right and bottom left) all the way around. Not sure how tight you're supposed to do them up tho.
I also think you're supposed to let it set for a day or so but once again I'm not sure.
I'm only going by what I've been told.
Might be able to buy some stuff that makes it cure quicker, once again only got told this by someone.
Best researching these points and see if they work

Make sure surfaces are clean of all old sealant & gaskat, then apply silicon sealant to the sump.
Apply silicon to the gasket then offer it up to the block.
Fit the bolts finger tight just to hold it up before you tighten them up.
Nip them up with your ratchet but do the bolts up diagnal to each other.
Have never had a problem doing it like that
