If your going to fit cams then buy Piper re profiled items. New cams from Ford will be expensive and second hand cams aren't worth a fart. TB is worthwhile but don't think the ECu will offer any benefits at all. I would think you'd be better off sourcing a 130PS ECU or have your existing one chipped.

Don't forget the inlet manifold is different between the 130 and 105 spec cars

Oranaco / Don't forget the inlet manifold is different between the 130 and 105 spec cars,

In what way??? I've taken a lot of your advice in the past and you've always been right but in what way are the two different as i have one of each and there's no obvious difference so what do i look for>?

Also is there any proof on this ie who says so as they come up with the same part number in my local ford spares place cheers, Grant

The cams are only the saem on the early 2.0 ltrs. If you can find a low milliage engine there is no reason why the cams can't be reused, they don't wear as badly as the CVH ones! Get the ECU and throttle body and you are sorted. There is nothing to gain by changing any of the bits on their own.

The ports are much larger on the RS1800 item.
