Default big problem

this problem is on a FRST

hae just fitted a T3 to it, it won't start up, very thing connected, it has spark and fuel wen it's ment to get it, the wierd thing is if u take anyone of the spark plugs out it will run on 3 cylinder but it wont start on 4 cylinder

has anyone else had this problem or got any ideas as to what it is because i am stumped.

the only thing i can think of is it still has the same air filter that it did when it was running as T2, would this cause it to be starved of air??

cheers

marc

Nope as my T3 converted FRST is still on the same filter as well and that goes fine. My guess is you've disturbed something you shouldn't have during the conversion. I would start by checking all the multi plugs out. The fact you have fuel and a spark would indicated the CPS isn't at fault

i really dont know why but it says to on that guide.im wondering whether it might be blocking the flow of exhaust gases cos u say it runs with a plug out as the compression is being let out of the plug hole rather than being trapped in the cylinder if it is blocked.do a compression test on all 4 cylinders and see what they are

the fuses are all good and so are the vacuum hoses m8, as i say tho it will run on any 3 of the cylinders but not on four of them and to get it 2 run on 3 you have to take da spark plug out to get it to run.

rite just had a word with my m8 its his car not mine and he says he cant understand why it wont start was fine untill we changed the turbo,

the engine itself is 5500quids worth of full steel low comp bottom end etc and has only done 6k since it was built, it was run in with no boost for 1.5k of that aswell

cheers
