Default No spark on RS1800

Hi guys,

recently i stripped my Fiesta RS1800 to a bare shell, including the loom for a respray. the engine started with no problem before that. Now i put everything back together again, all the electrics/lights work, the fuel pump works but there is no spark on the HT leads, hence not starting.

Any ideas?

then your coil pack has fooked i should imagine. swap that over 1st and see. as thats the easiest

either that, crank sensor or some wiring is faulty

or how about an alarm/immobiliser?

When i bought the car it did have an alarm which didn't work so when i stripped the loom i removed every wire belonging to the alarm and re connected the factory wires in their original way.it was quite simple. is there some sort of immobiliser?

Problem solved,

it was the crank sensor. Changed it and it fired up immidietly. cheeRS guys.
new smaller problem now,
the engine seems to be turning the selfstarter. it can be heard wining.
must be the solenoid stuck
