Fuck no!

You need to have the modulators removed and replacement pipework plumbing in. It is a very good mod to do as improves the brake feel hugely. The standard FRST brakes are lame at the best though so before binning the ABS I would look at converting to Cossie discs and calipers. If they still don't feel good enough then bin the ABS.

Fiesta turbo brakes are pretty much identical to XR2i brakes and to be honest I don't rate them for stopping the 108bhp car never mind one with at least 130

yeah well its putting out just over 200bhp so u will understand my concern!

ive got a set of front brakes off an mk5 xr3i 130 sitting in my garage, would they b a decent upgrade if they fitted?

May be an improvement of sorts but I wouldn't have thought it will be an adequete improvement.

I can relate to your predicament as my own Fiesta is knocking out 207bhp and is also still on standard brakes. It's not used at all much and they are to be done this year before the show start to get into full swing

You would be right mate. I beleive the 2wd calipers can be made to fit but need a bit more work.

i did this on my old fez, with the following brakes
front

rear(before they were repainted)

basically i removed the whole ABS system and all pipes,i also removed the shockingly bad rear load compensators and ran pipe straight to the calipers on the rear, i then got some copper brake line and with the car on axle stands all round offered up and shaped the lines, once i was happy with the length/shape i took them to my local motor factors and they flared the ends for me.
I changed the master cylinder and fitted mondeo brake pressure reducing valves to it,you can just see them here;

( these do the job that the compensators weren't doing,without these the back end will just lock up under braking)

it is much better without ABS
