Default Help! Mk4 Escort soaking wet headlining

Hi all,

My mk4 escort with a sun roof has a major issue with soaking wet headlining in rear of the car. To me this sounds like a dodgey sun roof.

I have heard about drainage pipes, but where to the rear are they?

Any one have any pics/locations or ideas where to start?

Cheers people

I would say that your rear sunroof drain tube take offs are rotted out or the tray has some rust damage,my mate had the same and it was his sunroof tray rotted out at the rear (not the sunroof ,the part it goes into when open ) ,best thing is to remove the rear of the headlining down and you will see the problem ,watch your eyes when dropping the headlining as some rust will drop down
