Is there an off the shelf stainless exhaust for the 1600i???

yes , theres a few as far as i know, ive got a scorpion stainless on mine that follows the original pattern which goes over the rear arm and is quite quiet, you can have mine if you want one but you need to buy the car, its only £500 needs some welding but is genuinely a good car, see rsowners club for pictures in the 16i section

Yup, Janspeed now do a full stainless system. Over the the rear arm.

Or I believe Camskills make an exact copy of the original system in stainless too.

Stick to a sensible bore tho! Anything over 2.5-3 inches will be detrimental to performance I'm told.............

anyone know if the 1600i system will go onto a ghia without mods? if not what system will?

yes it will do but not an easy one to get hold of a 3i one would be easier and cheaper

i had janspeed system and manifold on my second Rsi ,, stainless on my first one which was much too loud!!! i think Janspeed is the best for these
sound quite Raspy and fairly small size tailpipe,, not too expensive
either,, i would go for that personally KGS did used to have a janspeed by the way
