Default Remind me again why I should keep the car???

Having a nitemare 24 hours!

00.00 - Got home last night to find some Honda 4x4 thing on my drive, guessing it beloned to one of the doctors that stay in the house at the end of my street when they work late I proceeded to block the cheeky fucker in cos I like to be able to see the car from the house.

8.30 - Said cheeky fucker knocks the door asking me to move my car, I begin to give him a gob full about parking on my drive then realise he's a foreign twat who can only understand half of what im saying (really reassuring being a doctor and all that) so in trainers and dressing gown I stomp over to my car, see it covered in frost and go to start it. Engine turned over once very slowly and then dead so had to push it back.

11.30 - By now im awake, dressed and about to go out. Car has been in sun for last 2 hours so figure the cold has shaken off it. Go to start car and it turns over really slowly again.

12.00 - Luckily mate that lives with me comes home for 30 mins so I borrow her car, shoot over to TMC and get a new battery.

12.30 - Got new battery, dig out 10ml spanner, go out to car and realise that the braket bolt is bigger than 10ml, I only have a 14 and 17ml spanner. I do have a mini socket set but ive lost the extension bar so even thats useless. Meanwhile my mate has to go out so im effectively house bound.

1.00 - After texting mates to see if they got a 13ml spanner I end up phoning my Dad who says he's got one and he'll bring it over when he can be arsed.

1.30 - Realise mate has used up last of bog roll and I need to go!!!!

14.30 - Dad just turned up with spanner, so battery all changed and car running.

14.50 - Im now going over to mums for sunday dinner and sympathy

So I figure ive got another 9 hours of bad luck then all should be ok again, think i'll go back to bed after dinner lol

sounds like a right nightmare, least you got it sorted in the end though! I would keep the reciept as my TMC battery packed up after only 9 months

The worst thing I have had recently is the starter motor on mine doesn't work once the car gets hot, and there was a big cue on the way to work as there had been a serious car crash. The police turned up and was diverting us off the dual carridge way, I let my foot slip off the clutch stalling it , tried to start it up again but it was doing nothing . So in the middle of all this traffic and stuff I have to pop the bonnet and tap the starter motor to get it going. The first try didn't work , at this point I was begining to sweat a bit as I was getting some proper agro and blocking of one lane of the dual carridge way just before a bridge with no hard shoulder or pull off area So I thought I would give it one more go before calling the RAC before I got linched! So I Pop'ed the bonnet again, tapped it with some proper force this time and thank God it worked nightmare

Funnest thing recently was, while having a play on the way back home with my mate TD Audi Quattro. I got to this bit of dual carridge way before my home kinda squaring up to have a thrash with him down the dual carridge way. I put my foot down, then all of a sudden, it grinds to a halt stinking of petrol. The petrol pipe had poped off! Proper scary putting it back on though, on the side of a dual carridge way (no hard sholder again ) on a blind bend with the bonnet up so I couldn't even see if anything was coming towards me Bodged it on though and limpted home

RSi's, who would have em!

Stereos in Escorts are a nightmare!! In my RSi I cant get a radio signal at all and in the S2 it has a pretty aweful radio signal most of the time! I'm tempted to give up with it all and buy a push bike

MKTart - Yeah i think that has a lot to do with it!! it's funny, a few years ago I drove to Iffracoombe and the signal in cornwall was crystal!! And as soon as I was back home I got back to like crackling noise or Classic FM for some reason? you can't talk anyway as your barely out of the sticks!!

I think I may be alone here but I use my car every day and have had no real problems yet.

Touch wood

Fingers Crossed

Throw salt over my left shoulder

Avoid all black cats

etc etc

I mean with the car as a whole, not me cd player! Although that has been trouble free too.

Dont talk to me about the roads by us. I have driven round most of our fair land and reckon the roads in Dudley Borough to be the worst by far
