Default differences between early and late 16i's?

Can anyone tell me what changes were made to the post May 83 cars, as I have just bought an early car but can't remember how my previous later car differed from this one. (probably because I had my previous i in about 1988!!!)

Cheers

Yep the strut tops where changed from 'two bolt' type to the single bolt sierra type strut top, also the early ones had a 40 litre petrol tank with the fuel pump between the rear trailing arms, the later ones had a 48 litre petrol tank and the fuel pump was located under the boot floor.

Apart from a change of gearknob the interior stayed the same throughout as far as i know mate

Cloth was slightly different on the seats. There were also structural changes relating to the rear suspension mounts to take out some of the camber.
