Default Polishing Kits

Do any of you use polishing kits. What i mean is the different compounds and wheels that you can fit to your bench grinder or drill. I've seen some for £50 that will start on a rough casting and eventually bring it up to a shine.

I fancy getting a kit to polish up my RS1600 rocker cover

Ay up chap

Yeah I use them a fair bit on my cossie and GSXR parts...brings them up mirror finish, as long as you take your time....it aint a quick process tho and ive found that the best why is to get it as good as you can with 1200 grit 1st and then go onto the mops. Wear eye protection and a mask tho or else you'll have panda eyes and black snot for days lol

Cheers mate i've been using a black & decker wizard with all the attachments to get other parts tidy but wanted the rocker cover to be my work of art and wanted something to polish it up. I'll get 1 of them kits but too late for the black snot

Whats the best polish to use after i've use the mops i've got some peek as i was told that was good on stainless and polished metals

I just use Autosol and then give it a final clean over with autoglym super resin polish to help protect the bare metal a little.....seems to work for me
