Default Polish for a new paint job

Hi guys i had my car painted about 6-7months ago and has not been on the road yet, it will hopefully be back on the road 1st of may. It has been polished by the painter with 3m stuff not too sure which ones just remember the bottles.

Now i want to polish and wax it to protect it the car is a moonstone saff. I have dodo rainforest wax and lime prime pre wax and sour power shampoo.

but i'm a bit unsure on what polish to use, due to it being new paint(2k) the re are no major swirls in the paint.

I have meguires part 2 polish but reading on here people say its shit.

I have access to a machine polisher (rota)

Thanks in advance fro any advise or tips,

Phil

You could try the new Autoglym SRP, getting very good reviews and as it has almost no cut it should be fine for a new and swirl free fininsh.

If the paint work is swirl free then no need to polish, just cleanse then use your wax of choice, and keep it topped up.

Simples...

if it has minor swirls you can machine polish it but i would only use something like 3M ultrafina on a black or blue 3m pad to just eliminate the swirls and give it a deep glossy shine.
Then apply the wax of choice to look after the finish. The meguires polish is good for the machine i.e 205/105 etc but the hand stuff is not so good
