compared with meguiars and souveran there's so much dust. it gets everywhere. i also hate the autoglym bottles - they have a habit of splattering their contents over the nearest object when you open them or put them on the floor. i still use their glass polish and glass cleaner, and sometimes that resin polish on my wheels. for all other purposes i bring out the megs + souveran

have to agree the bottles are really annoying, and once you have tried meguires tech wax you auto glym boys will never go back.

Autoglym are fighting back with a load of new products.

Might give the Ultra deep shine polish a go.

Tech wax is fantastic though!!

alot of my m8s use maguiars, however i havnt noticed a massive difference apart from the time it takes to use! ma pal took 9 hours to do the 3 stage palava. i mean wtf!!! didnt even look any shinier than normal!

being a valeter, iv used alot of diferent polishes etc, and have to say, autoglym is by far the easiest to use! and gets the same result as maguiars.

its not what you use, its how you use it! (as with so much in life!)

9 hours? what a muppet! it barely takes me 2 hours to do my car (wash, dry, 3 stages, clean windows, dress tyres, polish wheels, etc)

I've yet to take less than two hours to polish mine I think. I want a good, quick to use polish so I can do it more often then once a month Couple of washes each week and a polish a month keeps it ok, but it'd be good to polish a bit more often

Well the first 2 stages of the meguiars stuff that i use are basically wipe on wipe off. takes no more than 10mins to do each one. you only need to use the first stage a few times anyway cos it's slightly abrasive.

the last stage (carnuba wax) takes longer because you have to let it dry for about 20mins before removing.

apply with an applicator pad and remove with a microfibre cloth.

Any of you guys ever tried Swissol products? They are expensive but the buftys over at the SIDC forum (Subaru Impreza's) all seemed to swear by them, must admit it is very easy to use and impressive stuff IMO but I am not a concours player I will admit.

Yeah i've used it!
You spray on the quick detailer, and rub the pannel with the clay. Seems really odd and your neighbours will think you finally flipped when they see you rubbing what looks like a bar of soap all over your car!
But the results are great!

Hi

talking as a ex spray polisher and now valeter for my sins, I would have to say that the supreme polish from autoglym is good stuff,(ultimate shine on the shelves), used to use megs too, but not durable, If you guys want the top notch (forget zymol) use zaino z5 with zfx and then top it off with either P21S, Blitz or soverain, all brilliant products, If zaino to fiddly for you as it is about 4-5 step process then use Klasse AIO topped with P21S or soverain, thats my two pennies worth

Yes i use it on my black 3 door cosworth and very pleased with it , done it with Zymol HD cleaner first to get the old autoglym and meguires off then put the Zymol on with the palm of your hand , your hand warms the wax , i got mine from a dealer at Goodwood festival of Speed day and in the prise list they list a Royal Glaze wax "same size as concourse wax tub at £ 5,820 a tub , but the refills are free , bargain,Vintage Glaze £1,474 a tub, J Clarkson on top gear ate a hand full of Royal Glaze anybody else see him do that.

I saw him eat some of that polish, wonder if it made his teeth shine.
