Default best stuff to remove chewing gum from carpets.

as above guys, found some and i tryed bu attacking it with the end ov the hoover, not recomended. any info appreciated.

Freeze it with an ice cube or that plumbers pipe freezing spray. It will go solid then pull it out of the carpet in one piece.

freeze it with gas or plumbers freeze stuff ,then it just can be picked out as its hard then

on clothing, you wet the cloth and then put it into the freezer

the frost then freezes the gum and also separates it away from the material so it's just a case of unpicking it afterwards

not too sure about doing the same thing on a carpet though as it may give you a bigger problem when you have to clean up the damp patch

blimey that was quick, il try the ice tomorrow and see if i can find some plumbers freeze spray, cheers guys

wd40 got it out very quick! but stank...

As already said,freeze it or use tar and glue remover that will break it down then just wipe it away

guys i dont know what i would do without you just tryed it on my dads spare (broken badly) car and it worked wonders. it is a bit of a pain to pick it off but it worked. thanks a lot guys.

Edit: it had been treaded in for atleast 6 months aswell.
