I tried the clay bar but the mark is still there. I started off trying to get the mark out then i did the whole roof lol. There was a fair of dirt stuck to the clay. I might do the rest of car now.

clay bar wont get rid mate,it will only take contaminants from top of clearcoat.you'll need to machine polish or wet sand it,worst case scenario need a repaint

Depends how long its been on there etc, but when i had some on my roof it was rock solid and i mean ROCK i got the soapy water out, used a sponge to get what i could off then i found out wd40 may work.................... so i cracked that out and tried some on some tissue, and it bloody worked, and proper worked, it got every last trace of it off the paint work

Wipe over with some more soapy water and job done havent put any protectant on yet but no more bird mess

Not saying it will work because it depends how long its been there, but worth a try. Just make sure afterwards you give the area good wash to get the oil off

Carry a roll of kitchen towel and a spray bottle of water in your boot, trick is to remove it as soon as you notice it.

Wet sand and machine polish MAY remove, just depends how bad it is. I would offer to have a go for you if you were local

I think it was on for a few days. You have to look very careful to spot it. I only got the car painted last year and its got a mark on it already.

Depends on the protection before the shit too.

A well waxed paint will remove easier, and with less damage too.

Best of with a machine with some good cutting agent, make sure you protect after words tho.
