Default Advice on applying products

As above please, i have bought a lake country light cut orange pad and menzerna 203s, i then have a lake country polishing pad with auto glym super resin polish and finally poorboys nattys paste wax and blackfire applicator pad. I would just like to know the best way for using these products? do i just add the product to the pad a polshing away (by hand) and then buff off using a cloth?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Yes microfibres are fine for buffing off.

Would be best to clean the pads once your finished, save yourself some money in future, just put them in a bucket of water with some washing up liquid and leave them overnight and rinse them afterwards. Or just rinse them straight after you have used them and just apply some washing up liquid onto pad and work it in, and rinse the pad under tap until clean, squeeze out water and allow to dry naturally.

Quote from the Polished Bliss website

3.6. My car has intermediate paint, and I want to polish it by hand to remove obvious sub-surface defects. What products and pads are best suited to this task?
To correct swirl marks and other light to moderate defects (fine scratches and etching) on your car, we recommend a two stage process starting with Menzerna 203S in conjunction with Lake Country German CCS Light Cut Pads. Working small areas at a time using firm pressure should enable you to correct around 70% of the defects present in just 1-2 attempts per panel. Any remaining defects should then be partially hidden and the overall finish refined with Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish in conjunction with Lake Country German CCS Polishing Pads. Working small areas at a time using light pressure should enable you to partially hide any remaining defects and maximise the gloss in just a single attempt per panel. You should be aware from the outset that although this method will yield good results, it will require a significant amount of hard work!

As above just replacing the gloss enhancing polish with the super resin polish you have.

Hope this helps

Just to add to the above; when you apply the 203S, work it in well with light to moderate pressure until it all but disappears (this indicates the abrasives have properly broken down). Then simply buff off with a microfibre towel as directed above.

As long as you clean them properly after each use and store them well, then they should last years. Nice results!
