my gf bought a brand new fiesta in 2005 which was sent back for polishing because it was covered in metal filings.

My boss was at the Geneva Motorshow and he said the Fords paint finish was absolutely terrible and were covered in metal filings. He made the joke that even the brand new ones come rusty from the factory. Not good on a car that costs nearly Ł30k!

The shine on that paint when its finished is something else though!

I've seen brand new BMWs/VWs and Benttleys with equally bad paint. Swirl city Seems most new cars need a good going over to make them right.

That RS is stunning though, this thread has finally made me want one!!!

awesome .........but I'm with rich bloor on this, shouldnt be needed in the first place, for 30k I'd expect it to look like your end results when I picked it up from the dealers.

Saying that, bit of a rock and a hard place really, if thats how they treat them, then theres no way you ask them to put it right I guess.
